Double Trouble

Double Trouble
by
Susan May Warren

MY THOUGHTS:
Susan May Warren is one of those authors that I turn to whenever I want to get away from the world. She creates characters and scenarios that draw you in so completely that dogs can bark, kids can fight, and stomachs can growl to no avail -- I'm not deterred! Double Trouble pulled me from my petty failures into PJ Sugar's megacrises instantly! Yes, the dog had tracked mud on my newly mopped floor, but she was running from a potential murderer with nothing but a Bismark donut as a weapon, only to have her boss stop the perpetrators escape with her vintage VW bug. As her only means of transportation sits crumpled in the parking lot she realizes that she just might have over reacted. Thus begins her career as a private investigator. PJ Sugar represents every woman who tries hard to succeed at all she does, but seems only to end up over extended and not quite meeting the expectations of herself and others. She tries a little too hard and often ends up in hilarious situations and
sometimes in dangerously hot water. Susan's writing style will have you cheering for her and wishing you could just hug her and tell her it will be ok. This is a thoroughly enjoyable book, and I can't wait to read the next in the series.

ABOUT THE BOOK:

With one solved case under her belt, PJ Sugar is ready to dive into her career as a private investigator. Or at least a PI's assistant until she can prove herself to Jeremy Kane, her new boss. Suddenly PJ's seeing crime everywhere. But is it just in her head, or can she trust her instincts? When she takes on her first official case-house-sitting for a witness in protective custody-Jeremy assures her there's no danger involved. But it soon becomes clear that there is someone after the witness . . . and now they're after PJ, too.
